NEW YORK (AP) — After several days of testimony of women claim they have been groomed and sexually abused by R. Kelly, a man took the witness stand at Kelly’s sex trafficking process in New York City on Monday to say the R&B star exploited him the same way when he was a high school student.

The witness, who testified in federal court in Brooklyn without using his real name, told a jury how Kelly sent him to his… Chicago-area home in 2007 with bogus offers to help him with his fledgling music career.

Kelly asked the alleged victim, then 17, “what I was willing to do for music,” the witness said. He replied, “I will carry your bags. … Anything you need, I am willing to do.”

“It’s not. It’s not,” he said, answering Kelly before asking if he ever fantasized about having sex with men. He described how Kelly then “crawled on his knees and gave me oral sex,” although “I didn’t feel like it.”

After that, “he told me to stay between him and me,” he said.

In a later episode, Kelly snapped his fingers to summon a naked girl from whom she was hiding under a boxing ring to give Kelly and the witness oral sex, the man told the jury.

He continued to see Kelly after that because “I really wanted to make it in the music industry,” he said.

The witness testified as part of a collaboration agreement that resulted from his pleading guilty in a separate case in which he claimed he was part of a failed plan to bribe a woman into not testifying against Kelly. No charges have been filed against Kelly in connection with the settlement.

Kelly, 54, has repeatedly denied charges of preying on victims during a 30-year career highlighted by his 1996 mega-hit “I believe I can flyHis lawyers have portrayed his accusers as groupies who lie about their relationship with him.

Earlier Monday, a woman testified that Kelly sexually assaulted her at age 17 after performing in Miami in 1994. The witness, who also testified without using her real name, alleged that Kelly’s cronies took her and a friend to his dressing room after before the show, he pulled down her shorts and forced her into unprotected sex, she said.

“I was in complete shock,” she said. “I didn’t know what to say at all. I actually went blank.”

After that, “she and her boyfriend unlocked the door and ran outside,” she said.

During a cross-examination, attorney Deveraux Cannick urged the witness why, after someone allegedly raped you, she waited more than two decades to contact the police.

“Because I didn’t want to feel any more shame and trauma,” she said.
