Jr. NTR shared that Rajamouli used to keep flies in his fridge when he was making the movie. He joked, “When you opened the fridge, there were more flies than food.” On being asked by Kapil Sharma to elaborate more, NTR explained, “He was hibernating them so that he could study them properly. This was when he was making Makkhi.” The Bahubali director agreed to this by simply nodding and smiling.

On hearing about this, Kapil joked,“Aap sab ko band kar dete ho (You lock everyone up). When you made Makkhi, you locked the flies up in the fridge. When you made Baahubali, you locked up Prabhas in Film City for five years.”

Rajamouli also shared that his driver was opposed to the idea of him making Makkhi. He said, “My car driver got very angry that I am making a movie on a fly. He said, ‘Have you gone mad? Forget these flies and cockroaches, why can’t you make films with human beings?’”
Eega starred Nani, Sudeep, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu and was released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Rajamouli’s upcoming RRR was scheduled to release on January 7 in theatres but the release has been postponed indefinitely because of rising Omicron cases in the country. The movie stars Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran.
