Hansal Mehta schools Twitter user for his comments on his son Pallava, “Do some research, take some time off from trolling” – Times of India

Hansal Mehta is not the one who will take social media trolls lying down and his recent Tweets are proof. On Wednesday, the filmmaker had questioned if his son, who has down syndrome, wants the vaccine or if he needs it. “My son Pallava is 25 years old. He has Downs Syndrome. He has suffered from a near fatal respiratory failure a few years ago. Does he want the vaccine or does he need it?” Hansal Mehta wrote on Twitter with a picture of his son.

Alleging that Hansal Mehta chose politics over his son’s life, a Twitter user wrote, “Pallava was eligible for vaccination in the very first round when it all started as ‘Down Syndrome’ is a disease lowering the immunity and all such cases were included. But bete ki life ya (son’s life or) politics. Tough one.” Schooling the troll, the filmmaker retorted, “Downs Syndrome is not a disease. Do some research. Take some time off from trolling. And understand the context of my question first before providing your parroted answers.”

On the work front, Hansal Mehta had last helmed the popular web series ‘Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story’. Pratik Gandhi shot to fame with this show wherein he essayed the titular character.
