Gaming: 57% of PC gamers highlight slow storage as pain-point, claims report – Times of India



In their quest for an immersive gaming experience, gamers in India are quickly graduating to PC-based gaming, says the Next-Gen Gamers research conducted by Western Digital. The report claims that over half (57%) cited slow storage as a factor for poor gaming experience.
Other trouble points highlighted by gamers, as per the survey, include: slow game loading (51%) and bandwidth issues (51%). While slow storage remains the biggest bottleneck for fast game loading, gamers feel that RAM (52%), Graphics Card (43%), and Processor (41%) also have a role to play in the overall gaming experience. The survey claims that 59% gamers said that slow loading time impacts their gameplay. Two in every five gamers have made the decision of deleting their old titles due to running out of storage.
The survey further claims that 3 among every 5 gamers store their game libraries in their PCs and every 3 in 10 store more than 10 titles on their PCs. Nearly 72% of serious gamers felt that quick load times are crucial. 44% of gamers said that they enjoyed games that loaded seamlessly, and 54% look for quality graphics that offer a realistic gaming experience.
